Let's move, express and explore dance this summer! Dancers will learn different JAZZ FUNK dance styles and choreography each day, along with basic tumbling skills. We will watch different dance sequences and discuss our likes and dislikes. By the end of the 4 days, students will have learned a full dance and also create their own dance.

Explore your inner warrior through a variety of "girl power" activities meant to find & strengthen your voice in this world! Learn about true “warrior girl power" pioneers; try yoga practices using visualization, mindfulness activities, & fun poses (& yoga nap!). Explore concepts of stress & how to counteract this, uses positive energy, & keep an open mind with hands-on projects/discussions.

Over the course of the week campers will learn all about fabric dyeing, block printing, and create their own patterns. These patterns they create will turn into a take home of their own no-sew pillow!

*Pair with Print, Pattern, Sew for a full day experience!
The Print, Pattern, Sew Workshop will explore several techniques commonly used in textile craft to create surface, stitched, and woven designs on fibers. Students will experiment with creating nature-inspired prints using cyanotype dye, resist printing, and found object stamping in the “print” portion of the class. Students will have the opportunity to explore repetitive stamping, screen printing and abstract ink application techniques in the “pattern” portion of the class. The “sewing” portion of the class will include learning basic weaving and hand stitching techniques to create several projects. The final products of the class may be used to create wall hanging display pieces or made into several useful items, such as a notebook cover or zip pouch as time allows.

*Pair with Crafty Fun for All for a full day experience!
Campers will learn basic kayak skills and water safety and get to try both single and tandem kayaks on calm, nearby waterways. We will also learn a little about local wildlife and ecology. We will travel to a different location each day including various points on the Susquehanna River. In the event of bad weather, alternate but equally fun activities will be held indoors. Kayaks, paddles and life vests will be provided. Campers should wear water shoes or old sneakers and bring a change of clothing, sunscreen, a hat, a refillable water bottle and a lunch Monday through Friday. Our main objective is to have FUN and learn a little while staying safe!
