CAMPS IN THE WEEK OF JUNE 20, 2022

Camps Offered June 20 - June 30 (M-TH both weeks)

Glass Mosaics

Participants will have an introduction to glass work.  Throughout the week we will be designing and making tiles for a community mosaic.  We’ll go over the basics of cutting glass and the fundamentals of mosaic making.  Each participant will have the opportunity to also make a tile or pendant that will be fired for them to take home.

*****This camp is offered for two weeks, Monday-Thursday each week*****

Stained Glass Design

Healthy Kids on the Move

Stained Glass Design

Artists will learn the basics of the Tiffany (copper foil) method to create a beginner stained glass panel. They will learn glass safety, pattern preparation, glass cutting/grinding, copper foiling, soldering and finishing a stained glass piece.

Healthy Kids on the Move

Stained Glass Design

This camp will be teaching students the basics of American Sign Language! Along with learning about Deaf Culture vs. Hearing culture, best communication with someone with a hearing impairment,  and having FUN with ASL games!

Machine Sewing 101

Machine Sewing 101

The class  is loosely structured around a basic  skill of learning how to knit and purl.  It will set up with the foundations of knitting in a fun, easy-to-learn way. Students will learn the foundations of knitting – casting on, knitting, purling, simple stitch patterns, binding off. Through in-class demonstrations and  home assignments, you’ll learn the basics of knitting giving you the ability to follow thousands of existing patterns and maybe even design some of your own. Starting a simple knitting project.

The class is a fun filled class  structured around a basic skill of learning how to sew both hand sewing ( some) and machine sewing.  It will set up with the foundations of  machine sewing in a fun, easy-to-learn way. Students will learn the foundations of  sewing.
